Personalized Planning With Deep Local Roots

Busby Sanford Brady is a locally grown firm with deep roots in Tucson and a proud legacy of serving families, individuals, and business owners with both tax and financial planning expertise. The firm was originally founded in 1993 by Jay Busby and Craig Sanford under the name Busby & Sanford CPAs, PLC. From the beginning, the vision was clear: deliver personalized, high-integrity service built on long-term relationships.

A few years later, around 1996, the firm settled into its current home at the corner of Kolb and Tanque Verde, where it's remained a fixture on Tucson’s east side ever since.

In 2001, Darlene Brady joined as a partner, and the firm was renamed Busby Sanford Brady CPAs. Recognizing early the growing connection between taxes and financial planning, both Craig and Darlene became licensed Financial Advisors. This forward-thinking move allowed the firm to begin offering integrated financial services to meet the evolving needs of its clients.

One by one, each of the founding members of the firm successfully retired. By 2022, the next generation of leadership was fully in place. Today, A. Jay Busby, David Erskine, and Vicente Vargas lead the firm with the same commitment to personal service, collaborative planning, and doing what’s in the best interest of each client.

While still proudly rooted in the east side of Tucson, Busby Sanford Brady now serves clients across Arizona and throughout the U.S., continuing to build on a foundation of trust more than 30 years in the making.
